Bloc were appointed to undertake investigations to ascertain the cause of extensive cracking throughout this extensive private dwelling in addition to providing ongoing management of the subsequent building warranty claim.
Bloc supervised intrusive opening up investigations to ascertain the existing building construction and were able to demonstrate that key supporting elements were inappropriately sized during construction, in addition to identifying several construction defects.
Owing to the age of the building, Bloc were able to substantiate a successful a claim against the owner’s building warranty policy.
In addition to undertaking the design of remedial structural repairs to rectify the issue, Bloc have also been appointed to tender and project manage the ongoing repair works on behalf of the client, co-ordinating and managing key stakeholders and providing a complete ‘turn-key’ service from diagnosis through to completion.
